Computer Science graduate from Chico State. I design and build
complete digital products—from expressive interfaces to dependable APIs, data layers,
and deployment—with a focus on clean engineering and a sharp user experience.
I'm Jacob — Mr. Cobb to some, Senior Cobb to the rest.
I'm a Computer Science graduate from California State University, Chico, and I build
thoughtful software that feels as good to use as it is solid under the hood.
I like owning the whole product path: shaping the interface, designing the API,
modeling the data, and solving the strange edge cases that appear where those layers meet.
My projects range from browser tools and desktop apps to applied AI systems. Whatever the
stack, I keep coming back to the same three principles.
Useful by default
Start with the problem, cut the ceremony, and make the shortest path through the product feel obvious.
Built end to end
Interfaces, APIs, data models, automation, and delivery should work as one coherent system—not a pile of handoffs.
Polish is engineering
Performance, accessibility, good feedback, and careful visual detail are part of the product, not an afterthought.

Everything I've grown
Every repo is a kernel. Star counts pull live from GitHub — if the API is
being stubborn, you're seeing the last known harvest.
A local RAG + ReAct application with agentic chat, structured search, and interactive KML visualization—designed with a strict answer-verification gate.
An MCP integration that turns a complex CLI engine into clean, sandboxed tools with timelines, summaries, and structured search from any compatible client.
Live public activity, planted in rows straight from the GitHub API.

Software engineering roles, full-stack projects, open-source collaboration,
or an interesting product that needs to be built properly. I answer everything.
